Any activity involving motion,
rotation, or height creates the possibility of serious injury including
permanent paralysis and even death from landing or falling on the neck,
head, or other parts of the body. Gymnastics mats and floors
cannot and do not eliminate this hazard entirely. You still assume
a risk of serious injury in using these mats and floors. However,
this risk can be reduced by strictly following these rules at all times:
-
Use
gymnastics apparatus, mats, and floors ONLY under supervision of trained
and qualified instructors.
-
General
purpose tumbling panel mats, carpet bonded flooring, and vinyl bonded
flooring are designed ONLY for light tumbling activities and general
physical education. Under no circumstances are they to be used as
a training or landing mat alone.
-
Know your
limitations and the limitations of the product. Follow progressive
learning techniques.
-
All mats,
floors, and gymnastics apparatus must be used with proper spotting
equipment and trained spotters suitable to the activity or skill.
Always consult an instructor.
-
Before each
use, always check mats and floor for damage or wear, including tears and
flattening of energy absorbing material. If in doubt, do not use
the product.
-
Mats and
floors can move during use. Always check for proper positioning of
the product before each use.
-
Carpet
bonded rolls must be properly secured with velcro. Over time, the
hook velcro will become ineffective as it becomes filled with carpet
fibers. When the velcro won't stick well to the carpet, you
must replace it.

Please be
careful!!!
